Punjab Group of Colleges Jalalpur Jattan

The Punjab Group of Colleges (also known as The Punjab Group) (PGC) is an association of universities, colleges and organisations in Pakistan. PGC established as The Islamic Commerce Educational Society (ICES), registered in 1985 by Mian Amer Mahmood, which established its first faculty, the Punjab College of Commerce & Punjab College of Science, in Muslim Town on Canal Bank in Lahore, followed a few years later by the Punjab Law College. Since then the Punjab Group has branched out into the cities of Punjab.

The group established another network in cities of the Punjab by the name of Punjab College of Information Technology (PCIT), the first having been established in Lahore in 2000 and the latest at Sialkot in 2005. Mohammad Ali Jinnah University in Sindh and the University of Central Punjab are chartered universities of the Group. Punjab College of Business Administration (PCBA) was established in 1991 and Punjab Institute of Computer Science (PICS), in 1993 are the colleges of University of Central Punjab.
Punjab Group of Colleges is the largest higher education group in Pakistan. Punjab Group of Colleges is also affiliated with Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore which is the main stream of education throughout the country. Punjab Group of Colleges have over 189,000 students on roll. IBN-E-AMEER POST GRADUATE COLLAGE FOR WOMEN JALALPUR JATTAN

In 1986 a renouned person of Jalalpur jattan Muhammad Ramzan Rashi spend his 30 lac rupees and built IBN-E-AMEER INTER COLLAGE on his father's name which is a landmark in the history of jpj.and later on collage becomes a post graduate collage with the passage of time.And now it is a renouned and excellent degree collage for the girls of Jalalpur Jattan

History of Jalalpur Jattan

Jalalpur Jattan is a town located in Gujrat District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is located at 32°38'0N 74°12'0E with an altitude of 232 metres (764 feet). The city was founded by a JATT named Jalal and Kula Chor, and a place in Jalalpur Jattan, was built by Chandragupta Maurya, an Indian ruler in 300 BC. Excavations in the area revealed that Kula Chor was the mint of the Maurya Dynasty. It is pertinent to mention that a new wave of people appeared in India in 12th century known as Kuchour tribe.
A local historian, Mansoor Behzad believed that Chandragupta had built a fort in Islam Garh, a suburban village of Jalalpur Jattan. The original name of the village could not be ascertained but the fort became famous as Islam Garh Fort with the passage of time. Only some deteriorated remains of the fort exists today. Later, the fort had been the mint of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, of Lahore, in 1832
An intelligent man named MIr Farhat-u-llah belongs to the JPJ ..He is M.S.C in chemicals and got the international gold medal.Another great man Mir Tajamal ex chairman of banking council and also the ex M.D of Punjab bank also belongs to the JPJ.A famous Pehlwan Rustame Hind Kaliya also belongs to the JPJ.
the town has its two degree collages,five high schools and many primary schools.

In 1992 nadeem worked as a sports producer on PTV.HE also produced tv serials Neelam Ghar,,Aj di kahani,,and Fishar...
He also host Pakistan and India hockey series and Cricket match between Pakistan and Westindies

was a well looking, pious, precious, gentle, sympathetic, social worker and a like whole NGO as himself. He had historical personality and lot of abilities. He spent his life without blemish and spotless celebrity. People know to Sheikh Rehmat Ullah Shaad as proud of Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ), Fakhr-e-Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ) and Ehdi-e-Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ), Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ) ka Ehdi. Shaad was his pen friendship name meaning who ever and ever be happy this is why he meet to everyone with smiling face. He did for others till his end.
June 21, 2005 was extremely burning and desiccated day. Sheik Rehmat Ullah Shaad was coming back to home from Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ), Gujrat, Punjab, Pakistan, Municipal office; all of a sudden he face heart attack on the way and this famous person went back to native world. This news speared all over the Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ), Gujrat, Punjab, Pakistan, inside within short moment. Hundreds of people participated in his funeral (janaazha) and he burred (dafn) him in Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ), Gujrat, Punjabm, Pakistan, Nandpur graveyard (qabaristan).  People of Jalalpur Jattan (JPJ) never forget his services.
